What is our role as bloggers?

In the last days im thinking about us - the bloggers and our role in conjuction with the industry in general or in the Health 2.0 world specifically.

Do we have to be always a "cheerleaders" of every entrepreneur in the field or we are taking more serious part and sometimes even can criticize some trends in general and even specific application when we think it can contribute to positive and constructive discussion?

I had these thoughts again after I wrote a minor criticism regarding a new site called Researchgate.com.

unfortunately it seems that some entrepreneurs are taking personally any kind of criticism.

People

Criticism is a part of developement
Its a matter of maturity to accept criticism and its one of the first and importanat gates that every entrepreneur must pass through.
As I wrote before it only for the matter of building a stormy dialog.

Everyone who is respect such constructive dialog should promote such kind of criticism side by side to compliments and enthusiasm from platforms and application which deserve it.

Difussion of the " medicine 2.0 concept"

Interesting

Everything is probably coming in pairs

Here, I'm going to mention CDC again. This time is to introduce you with one of their latests posts :
Virtual Community Health Promotion by Richard Crespo, PhD
It's about the power of web communities in the service of health and medical issues.
The writer mentioned wikis, social networking and blogs. He also gives some examples and ideas how to use this concept.
For me it's another example and empiric data that the concepts of the medical 2.0 are becoming more and more popular and obvious to physicians, researchers and key leaders in the health sector.

Look and see the influance of this review by the eyes of another blogger in our sector:
"Web 2.0 - Do people in health get it?"
It's also a chance to introduce you with another blogger and blog ( good ones).

Enjoy

ER Pocketbooks - debate around medical blog

ER Pocketbooks is another medical blog which runs by physician.
It's main role is to publish current clinical cases from the ER in order to collaborate and educate others : doctors , students, nurses etc.
What's really makes it controversial is the using of real documents from peoples health records : Imaging, E.K.G etc.
The patient identity, is still remains unknown.
This so-called ethical debate forced this blog to the NBC news.

street anatomy- well recommended blog

Hi
As i told you before, one of my duties is to give you the chance to find new blogs and be your guide in the blogsphere (this is part of living the medical 2.0 world).
Although others already recommended this blog (including our friend from scienceroll), I find myself writing about it because it's worth it.
We are talking about "street anatomy".
http://streetanatomy.blogspot.com is everything and more about medicine and visualization and/or illusstration.
It's written and edited by Vanessa Ruiz . She is graduate of biomedical visualization studies.
After following the blog for period of time, I think it's worth writing about it and giving you the chance to enjoy and learn a lot about these items
Try it.
